Ali's Gift Testimonials

Darin’s story

Darin is just 6 years old and he LOVES karting. As a child with cystic fibrosis, his mum says “the karting is like physiotherapy for him, it makes him so happy. He loves competing, he never gives up and he fights for a place to the very end.”

Ali’s Gift were pleased to be able to give Darin a grant to help fund some of his entry into the SuperOne series event taking place in April. We wish him lots of luck!

His mum says “thank you to Ali’s Gift for making this happen, we are all so excited.”

Robbie’s Story

Exercise is so important when you have Cystic Fibrosis for many reasons. So when 18-year old Robbie got in touch with us asking for help to buy a treadmill so he could easily exercise at home during the winter months, we were more than happy to oblige!

He says “My goal is to improve my fitness to the point where I can run the Bath half Marathon next March, and I would love to raise funds for you through this.”

With regards to the impact on his life, he says “Receiving the treadmill from Ali’s Gift has meant I’ve been able to exercise three to four times a week, regardless of the weather, variable motivation and my work schedule. I have already noticed an improvement in my fitness level and my chest generally feels clearer. Additionally, running improves my mood and has therefore made me more motivated to consistently do physiotherapy and take my Medications.”
